This Privacy Policy explains how HerWay ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, web application, and related services (the "Service").
Information We Collect
- Account Profile Data: Name, email address, profile photo, and deep-link invitation codes used to pair with your partner.
- Commitment Ledger: Rule names, task descriptions, direct-charge stakes, completion statuses, co-signature digital logs (typed names, IP addresses, and timestamps).
- Secure Payout Data: Managed and stored exclusively by Stripe Connect. HerWay does not store or process credit card numbers or bank credentials on our systems.
- Device & Telemetry Data: App interaction markers, push notification receipt logs, and browser cookies used strictly for user authentication and analytics (PostHog, Vercel Analytics).
How We Use Your Data
- Providing and updating your shared couple accountability dashboard;
- Facilitating secure commitment stakes and direct-charge transactions via Stripe;
- Preventing relationship coercion, financial abuse, fraud, and unauthorized account access;
- Delivering push notifications for deadline alerts and streak status milestones;
- Enabling export and permanent deletion features in app settings.
Data Protection and Security
All relationship logs and personal identifiers are encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS protocols and at rest. Direct-charge transactions are processed securely under Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
Your Data Rights (GDPR and CCPA)
Regardless of your physical location, HerWay respects your right to control your personal data:
- Right to Access & Export: Request a complete JSON export of your commitment ledger and profile data.
- Right to Erasure (Delete): Request permanent deletion of your profile, pair link, and all historical agreements.
- Right to Object: Oppose PostHog or Vercel Analytics tracking by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.
