Shared life
Let relationship check-ins end with a clear next step
A check-in can surface needs, appreciation, and friction. HerWay is for the practical action afterward, when both partners want to turn one request into an accepted commitment.
Product boundary
A Creator can propose. A Doer can accept, counter, or decline. No agreement means no active commitment.
Recognize the pattern
A good conversation can still lose its next step
Couples may leave a check-in feeling heard, then return to the same issue because the action was never assigned a clear owner or time.
HerWay does not replace the conversation. It provides a structured handoff from a request to terms the Doer can review and negotiate.
Where it breaks down
Why check-in decisions fade
Reflection and action are different jobs. A useful conversation needs a small finish line when follow-through matters.
Too many issues stay open
A broad check-in can surface several needs without choosing the first practical action.
We should stays ownerless
A shared intention can leave both partners waiting for the other person to begin.
The request is remembered differently
Both people may agree with the spirit while picturing different timing or scope.
How HerWay works here
The proposal stays separate from the agreement
The Creator starts the request. The Doer's response decides whether that request moves forward, changes, or stops.
Creator proposes
A request, not an active rule
“Review next week's household responsibilities together Sunday at 7 PM.”
Doer reviews
Three meaningful choices
Counter example
The Doer changes proposed terms
“Sunday works, but I need 8 PM after the children are asleep.”
Optional explanation: We will be interrupted earlier.
Mutually agreed
Only matching final terms become active
Twenty-minute household review Sunday at 8 PM
Example commitments
Specific enough to review before accepting
These are examples, not assignments. Every real proposal still needs the Doer's response and matching final terms.
Review next week's responsibilities Sunday at 8 PM.
Return to the unfinished conversation Saturday morning.
Add confirmed family plans by Thursday evening.
Name one appreciated contribution during Friday's check-in.
Optional consequences stay optional
A relationship check-in rarely needs a financial consequence. If a couple chooses one for a practical follow-up action, it remains optional and must be accepted by both partners. It should never punish emotional disclosure.
Optional + explicit + mutually agreed
HerWay can help when
- Both partners voluntarily want a clearer commitment.
- A request keeps becoming vague, forgotten, or repeatedly discussed.
- The Doer needs a real chance to accept, counter, or decline the proposed terms.
HerWay is not for
- Forcing a partner to accept an obligation they do not want.
- Monitoring location, devices, or private behavior.
- Replacing therapy, medical care, crisis support, or a safety plan.
- Forcing emotional disclosure, settling a serious conflict, or replacing couples therapy.

FAQ
Practical questions before you start
Is HerWay a relationship check-in app?
HerWay can hold a practical commitment that comes from a check-in. It is not therapy and does not replace the conversation, emotional care, or professional support.
What should a weekly check-in cover?
A practical check-in can review capacity, upcoming plans, household ownership, unresolved requests, and appreciation. Choose one small action rather than turning every topic into a task.
Can the Doer decline a follow-up action?
Yes. The Doer can accept, counter, or decline the proposal. A useful check-in should make disagreement safer, not turn the conversation into automatic obligations.
Do we have to add money to a commitment?
No. A financial consequence is optional. If a couple includes one, it must be explicit and accepted by both partners as part of the final terms. HerWay does not require money for an agreement.
Can we switch the Creator and Doer roles?
There is no instant role switch while a partnership is active. To reverse roles, partners disconnect, existing tasks are paused, select or change roles, and reconnect under the new setup.
