Shared life
Make moving-in responsibilities clear before they become assumptions
Utilities, keys, cleaning, furniture, and household routines create dozens of small decisions. HerWay helps a couple turn one decision into an explicit proposal and accepted commitment.
Product boundary
A Creator can propose. A Doer can accept, counter, or decline. No agreement means no active commitment.
Recognize the pattern
A shared home creates work before either partner has a routine
Moving in brings excitement and a long list of practical details. When the list lives in conversation, each partner may remember a different promise or assume the other person owns it.
The same pattern can continue after the boxes are gone. Expectations about cleaning, groceries, bills, guests, and quiet time need specific conversations rather than default roles.
Where it breaks down
Why moving tasks become relationship friction
A shared deadline does not automatically create a shared understanding of who owns each step.
The checklist has no owner
Both people can see the task and still assume the other person will initiate it.
Household standards are new
Each partner brings routines that felt normal in a different home.
Admin work stays invisible
Calls, account details, comparisons, and follow-up can fall to the first person who notices.
How HerWay works here
The proposal stays separate from the agreement
The Creator starts the request. The Doer's response decides whether that request moves forward, changes, or stops.
Creator proposes
A request, not an active rule
“Transfer the electricity account and confirm activation by Friday.”
Doer reviews
Three meaningful choices
Counter example
The Doer changes proposed terms
“I can submit it Friday, but activation may need until Monday.”
Optional explanation: The provider says account reviews can take a business day.
Mutually agreed
Only matching final terms become active
Submit electricity transfer Friday; confirm activation Monday
Example commitments
Specific enough to review before accepting
These are examples, not assignments. Every real proposal still needs the Doer's response and matching final terms.
Submit the electricity transfer by Friday.
Arrange the second key before move-in day.
Build the shared essentials list by Wednesday.
Finish the kitchen boxes before Sunday evening.
Optional consequences stay optional
Moving already carries financial pressure, so optional consequences should be used cautiously. A financial consequence is never required and must be explicit, proportionate, and accepted by both partners.
Optional + explicit + mutually agreed
HerWay can help when
- Both partners voluntarily want a clearer commitment.
- A request keeps becoming vague, forgotten, or repeatedly discussed.
- The Doer needs a real chance to accept, counter, or decline the proposed terms.
HerWay is not for
- Forcing a partner to accept an obligation they do not want.
- Monitoring location, devices, or private behavior.
- Replacing therapy, medical care, crisis support, or a safety plan.
- Replacing a lease, financial agreement, legal advice, or a direct conversation about safety and boundaries.

FAQ
Practical questions before you start
What should couples agree on before moving in?
Discuss household work, bills, privacy, guests, routines, standards, and how responsibilities will change when capacity changes. HerWay can structure specific actions after that conversation.
Can HerWay create a legal cohabitation agreement?
No. HerWay is not a legal service and a product commitment is not a substitute for a lease, cohabitation agreement, or legal advice.
What if one partner cannot meet the proposed move-in deadline?
The Doer can counter the timing and optionally explain why. The Creator reviews the counter, and nothing becomes active before agreement.
Do we have to add money to a commitment?
No. A financial consequence is optional. If a couple includes one, it must be explicit and accepted by both partners as part of the final terms. HerWay does not require money for an agreement.
Can we switch the Creator and Doer roles?
There is no instant role switch while a partnership is active. To reverse roles, partners disconnect, existing tasks are paused, select or change roles, and reconnect under the new setup.
